John Isaac Clark
Chief Innovation Officer
As Chief Innovation Officer, John-Isaac Clark is responsible for the internal development and refinement of products, technologies, and solutions to specifically address Thermopylae’s customers’ problem sets. In this capacity, Mr. Clark provides leadership encompassing product development, direction, technical solutions, and consulting practices, and then aligning these to known and emerging market needs.
Mr. Clark has participated in all elements of product and solution development at TST, specifically leading technical development of the iHarvest® product as a Senior Systems Architect before leading the creation and development of the iSpatial® and Ubiquity® frameworks, while serving as Thermopylae’s Technology Officer for Geospatial and Mobile. Active in maintaining and aligning TST’s commitment to new and innovative technology, Mr. Clark established and grew TST’s longstanding relationship with Google™, making TST one of Google’s largest Enterprise partners, while consistently informing Thermopylae customers’ architecture and direction around alignment with Google’s product strategy and vision.
In addition to establishing product direction and roadmap, Mr. Clark has direct experience applying Thermopylae innovation in engagement environments, having served in architecture roles on the DCGS-A program, Chief Architect for the U.S. Department of State Blue Force Tracking program, and most recently as Chief Engineer for the CERDEC/I2WD/NRO Windshear program extending cloud data, analytics, and services to mobile devices.
Before joining TST, Mr. Clark acted as a senior technical consultant to the DCGS-A/ASPO TACTICOMPS program, which was one of the first capabilities seeking to bridge the gap between enterprise systems and handheld devices. Prior to that, he acted as a Data Architect on the DCGS-A program.
Before actively working within the Federal and DoD space, Mr. Clark spent nearly a decade in the high-tech start-up realm, including roles as an independent Start-up Consultant in Austin, Tx. assisting numerous technology, dot-com, software, and health care start-up ventures, a Technical Architect with new media consultancy Corono Media Partners, and VP of Technology for information security and vulnerability assessment firm Obtego. Mr. Clark has over 20 years of experience working in Information Technology, has spoken on various geospatial and mobile topics at Google forums, Federal Government Symposiums, and at IT Industry events, and is an active member of the Global Spatial Data Infrastructure Association (GSDI), the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
