Being Named One of the Top Corporate Philanthropists in D.C. Area
Published on June 7, 2013
A few weeks back, I wrote about how Thermopylae Sciences & Technology has a special culture steeped in corporate social responsibility (CSR).
We take a very unique approach where all employees are motivated and rewarded for giving back – whether its donating time to a charity of their choice, or larger philanthropic efforts that we undertake.
This is why we are very excited to announce that the Washington Business Journal has named Thermopylae one of the Top Corporate Philanthropists in the D.C. region. Later this week, we will be recognized at an award ceremony hosted by the publication, and it will be a very proud moment for us.
What makes this recognition very special is that we are a small company. Oftentimes it is the larger organizations – with more people and donating power – which receive this kind of recognition.
However, thanks to the passion and dedication of our entire team, we are able to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these larger companies, and prove that any organization can make giving a priority.
It is possible to do well while doing good, and I would like to thank our dedicated team at Thermopylae for making it possible for us to receive these kinds of accolades. We look forward to continuing these efforts, which in my opinion makes Thermopylae a very special and unique organization.← Back
