GEOINT 2013* Keynote: DIA Director Flynn Discusses Global Challenges

Published on April 16, 2014

There are four global trends that are changing how the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) manages its mission efforts: population, technology, resources and economics.

Compounded with rapid population growth and the rise of natural disasters, we are living in an era where “crisis is the new normal.”  The Intelligence Community (IC) needs to address this new reality in order for our nation to maintain global leadership.

These are some of the key insights from Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn, DIA Director, during his keynote presentation at GEOINT 2013* in Tampa, Florida.  Director Flynn also discussed how small businesses will be the engine for helping the IC address these global challenges.
