The GEOINT community offers the knowledge required for providing informed and effective decision-making for advancing our defense efforts.  Not only does our U.S. military need to know about strategic locations, but it also needs the data behind the “why.”

With global extremism on the rise, compounded with fewer resources, U.S. CENTCOM requires the right solutions and continued integration, cooperation and collaboration – a unity of effort towards a common goal.

These are some of the key insights from General Lloyd J. Austin III, Commander, CENTCOM, during his keynote presentation at GEOINT 2013* in Tampa, Florida. General Austin also offered a wide-ranging perspective on global hotspots including Afghanistan and Iran.
