Operation Thermopylae Drop Brings Treats To Troops
Published on October 31, 2010
TST employees demonstrated their continued appreciation for U.S. troops during the 2nd Annual Operation Thermopylae Drop, sending care packages to the 3-89 Cavalry in Afghanistan for Halloween. The regiment, which was conducting counter-insurgency operations in Wardak and Logar provinces, received letters of support, t-shirts marking the event, magazines, puzzles, and—of course—Halloween candy.
TST has had “…the privilege to work with various members of the armed forces that are serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan,” said President AJ Clark. “We are always looking for some way to express our gratitude for the selfless service of our troops,” he added.
Like last year’s Operation Thermopylae Drop, which was sent to an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Unit in northern Iraq, the event had a personal significance to TST, as an immediate family member of a Spartan was amongst the troops receiving the packages.
